Guinness® Cheddar Photoshoot
We’ve been busy over the last few months, as well as testing and tasting Guinness® Cheddar with some lucky folk, we’ve also been developing all the photos and preparing recipes with the delicious flavour profile we’ve created. Over the coming months we will be adding more of our recipes to our website, if you would like to submit a recipe, or have an idea on how to cook up a supper time treat, or create something extra special for a toastie, then get in touch, we’d love to hear from you, we might even send one of our family sized truckles for helping out your way. So what are you waiting for?
Guinness® Cheddar Made in Somerset
Somerset is our home, so we’re so proud that Guinness® Cheddar is made using locally sourced cheese. The dairy herds that produce the milk for our cheese are grazed on grass pastures overlooking the Somerset Levels near the Mendip Hills. These are made up of high limestone hills and are a designated area of Natural Outstanding Beauty. Covered in heathland, oak woodlands and ancients valleys which we are almost certain provides us with our unique flavour cheese. When its carefully infused with Guinness® (which takes its water from the low mineral water pumped fresh from the Wicklow Mountains) the outcome is flavour perfection, malty with a delicious and unique taste.
Crumbs it’s Guinness® Cheddar
We’re just about to wax our first batch of cheddar, but not after trying it with a few oat crackers, and putting it to the test with friends and family. We specially grade the cheese that we infuse with Guinness ® which gives us a rich and toffee like colour. We like the fact that every bite, and crumb has a unique flavour and we can’t wait to see it hit the supermarkets… and your cheese board soon!
